Reminds me of Mothman. I don't think that's on purpose, but that's where my brain went.

I'd say what they have in common is that they are both supernatural entities.

What's she running from? Simple, the concept of jogging. When she learned there was an in-between of walking and running, she dashed out of there as fast as possible. She's about to learn why jogging is so useful, due to using up all of her energy on the initial sprint. (Side note, I am a couch potato. I know nothing about exercise and I could be wrong as hell.)

When I drew this back in 2023, I had in mind for more things Naisho could do in a piece like this with a variety of styles. That never came to be, as I have addressed in my news post.
These ideas that were cut were things that she loves to do, or where to go. She likes running because it builds adrenaline rush, and a desire to go faster.

I neglected to mention, but this art was made after I saw my friend's Hollow Knight OC. When I drew it, my friend was so happy to see her first fanart ever and drew me back as a gift.
She has been missing for years, and nobody knows what happened to her, but I have drawn a tribute for her which will be posted later this month. To be real with you, we all miss her.
